Consultation

During the consultation phase, we gather information about the client, their company, target audience and the specifics of the project, including: scope of work, deliverables, project goals, and timeframe.

Communication is an integral part of any project on which members of the BOOST team work. It is imperative to have good communication in order to attain the best possible end result on any project.

Our goal is to work with our clients, not for them. The best results come from a collaborative effort. We encourage clients to be active participants in the development process. After all, who knows your company, its products, and services, better than you?

Design

During the design phase, we develop potential concepts using brainstorming sessions with the client, hand-drawn sketches, or initial computer-based illustrations.

As a piece starts to take shape, the feasibility of each approach is weighed. We may assess how a particular color scheme would be perceived by the end user, or how one tagline or layout may work better than another option.

Initial designs are presented and the client is asked to provide feedback. This is when communication plays the biggest part in ensuring that a project’s goals are successfully achieved.

Production

Once a concept is chosen, the idea is polished in the next phase of the process – production. During this phase, the approved concept is refined and the layout is solidified. New revised design comps are presented to the client to give a better idea of how the finished piece will look. It’s at this point that revisions are made and a final draft is presented.

In the case of a printed piece, printers may be contacted for quotes and the client is provided with all the files necessary to have the job printed. Supporting information on the job – its intended display characteristics, fonts used, colors chosen, etc. – is also included to help the printer produce the piece as it was intended to appear.

Design is so critical it should be on the agenda of every meeting in every single department.
